I am sure you have all seen on e bay the Starwood Motors Jeeps with their unique Kevlar coating. Have any of you been able to find a place that does similar work? Has anyone had their Jeep coated by the Line X place in Gilroy, CA? Or anywhere else other than Starwood?
Ayone has their Jeep exterior lined? By who? Where? Happy?
Never had a rig bed lined on exterior. The local shop near me rhino lines anything you pay for. I have seen an old toyota fj rhino lined on the exterior from that shop. Not my thing, but have at it.
I looked at the starwood jeeps. I was concerned about fading. The guys told me that they were guaranteed not to fade, but the stuff was brand new. So who knows for sure?
If it did fade, how do you get that paint off? chisel?
Or just paint it again with another layer of that stuff? I went with the xpel ultimate wrap. protects the factory paint and you can pull it off later. It will also heal swirls and light scratches. You can see my install somewhere around here.
search xpel ultimate wrap
the one thing with the wrap, was that my installer was not excellent. The after install service is not good, and they were far away. If you decide to go that route, make sure to get a good installer nearby, and make them take your top off and really do a good job.
