Leaking Jeeps

Can we have one thread for this, heck make it a sticky? It seems like all the JK section is about is people with leaking tops.

Yep! And make sure to put a link to this leak manual in it toward the top so everyone can look over it and work out their leaks then TELL the service department how to fix it!

Link to JK leak detect/fix manual

NO kidding ...me either...bunch of faries were probably picking flowers in the outfield and couldnt wait to get home and put thier sisters clothes back...I think the next leaky top thread instigator should immediately have his jeep taken away made to drive a prius or a minivan

I agree with you to a point.

When my 10 year old TJ started leaking, I chalked it up to the Jeep thing. The Jeep wasn't worth that much, and it was reliable otherwise. Wasn't worth it to me to get it fixed. It was only in the passenger floorpan, and I just pulled the carpet out. No biggie.

In a brand new Jeep, that cost $30-$35k or more, it should not leak sitting in the dealer lot or hours/days after that.

Someone willing to pay that kind of money for a vehicle shouldn't be ridiculed for wanting said vehicle to be free from defects and shoddy workmanship.

Owning a Jeep should not mean you have to accept "please excuse our sh*tty design/workmanship/attention to detail".

This wasn't meant to be a ridicule thread, it was meant for a place for all the leaky top people to write so that we dont get 4 threads a week on this. I know why mine leaks, its more likely to me just throwing the freedom tops on quickly and not making sure they a seated absolutely perfectly. I wouldn't be surprised if that was msot of the problem, people not putting things back perfectly. There may not be enough tolerance on what is "perfect" for fit hence the leaking. I'm just tired of sifting through "OMG my floors are wet" threads.

Yeah, I actually looked at mine after my lift was installed and I have the plate, mine was built in Aug 2010 so I guess I am lucky.

Yah, I got it, I just thought it was a bit humorous how at least up to now that nobody is using it for that and we got a few sarcastic posts. I think they call that ironic? Anyway, it may take some time to get peoples to post all their leaks here. Then maybe they can sticky it?
