leaking soft top

i have an 07 jk and my soft top leaks every time it rains. the plastic door surrounds has two twist knobs on top of the roll bar and i have them as tight as i can get them but there is still play in them side to side. what can i do to fix this and create a tight enough seal to stop it from leaking. any help would be greatly appreciated thanks

I could be wrong but the plastic knobs only attach the door surrounds to the roll bar. Tightening them more will not help a leak. Are you sure you have the top installed correctly? Next time it rains grab a flashlight and sit inside your JK. See if you can find the general area the leak is coming from. This might help you close in on the leak.

I have a 07 also my soft top would leak. After having a flooded vehicle every time it would rain i had enough of getting the wet butt syndrome. I found that the previous owner had folded the top the wrong way .on both sides there were tiny tears above the doors letting water in.

I just purchased an 07 with a soft top today - what's the proper way to fold the top?

Check this for some of the leaks, not all of what is said here is correct. The leaks are explained with photos, alot of people talk about adjusting doors. But could be the top itself, will say that I have replace top just the sail cloth with windows and header. That got mine even without adjustment of doors.

leaking top

my top leaks right at the top corner of the door on the hinged side where the top meets the windshield and the water leaks in onto the door locks and gets everything wet. i have new door seals on but it still does not help
