Hi. I've been trying to figure out and deal with the leaks on my 2007 Wrangler soft-top for quite some time. Chrysler/Jeep have been ZERO help, and I can't even get somebody on the phone over there who knows anything about these problems.
I have read most of the posts on this forum and other forums that pertain to this issue, and I have read the official Jeep Wrangler Water Leaks Diagnosis & Repair Manual. I have narrowed down my issue to either the header muckets, the A-pillar foam, or the door frame seals. I have called many of the dealerships around here, and many of the upholstery places who claim to deal with convertible tops, and have yet to talk to a single individual who has knowledge of any of this stuff, or ever heard of or seen the official water leak repair manual. I have only found people who are "willing to take a look at it" and charge an estimate fee. Which I'd be willing to pay, IF they had dealt with this make/model of Jeep and these specific issues. None could say they had.
I bought my Jeep 1 month out of warranty, and Chrysler refuses to deal with it. I am at the point where I am willing to bring it to anyone who knows how to diagnose and fix these issues, and has experience with these specific models.
My question to the community is, can anybody point me in the direction of a place in Chicago where I can bring my vehicle to have it properly diagnosed and repaired? OR, a contact person at Chrysler who is knowledgable in the leak issues and able to help guide me to my next step.
