Leather seats in Rubicons

Howdy folks I'v been watching the forum for a while but never sighned up till today. Been around 4x4s my whole life, started out with an 83 k5 blazer and then bought a 2001 chevy step side. Both trucks got there share of use. Was fixen to buy a Jeep a while back but then I went and got married and started a family, so I bought a doge caravan . Well in a few months the Judge will sighn the papers that say the maried life is no more. I'v got to get myself somthing new to drive shortly so I'm going to go with an 2011 rubi. My question to yall is does anyone have experence with the leather seats? Yes my new jeep will be geting filthy on the inside all the time. Was thiking maby the leather would be easyer to wash off, unless the mud stays in the seams. And also do they spot up if red mud is left on them for a day or two?

If you'll be topless at all I would run away from leather. Having owned two convertibles with black leather seats I can tell you that they'll be fantastic if you love misery.... Nothing but hot and sweaty.... Just my opinion of course. You'll have others tell you to do it since you can wipe them dry, which is fine, if the sweat and burning flesh isn't a concern for you....

Congrats on the BIG D!!!! lol

Along the same lines with Infernogirl
I have leather seats and I personally love them, I don't know if I would not have made that same decision, but with the package I wanted they came with the JEEP........I am in the process of getting seat covers, not because they get dirty (My dog is in my JEEP everyday and the dirt & slobber come up super easy) MY problem is burning my legs and back on the leather seats that have sat in the sun all day.....so unless you want to sit on towels, I would stick to the regular seats or getting seat covers for the summertime.

I've got fabric seats. When I bed line the tub and floor, I'm going to get the vinyl seat covers. They will basically take anything you can throw at them. Right now I have cheap Walmart seat covers on the seats to make them easy to clean. Strip em off, throw them in the wash, throw them back on.
