Leather seats + rain?

When I was buying my jeep I saw lots with leather seats and I see lots of people here with leather. How does it hold up when it gets rained on?

I haven't had it happen to mine yet, but I hear the water, within reason of course, will just bead off instead of seeping in the cloth seats. I got leather mostly because of the ease of cleaning mud and dirt off when offroading. After going out wheeling with my JK and my dad's non leather JK, the leather was worth it for that reason. A real time saver.

I have had some light rain and morning dew, no issues so far. Wiped off easily and they have been fine.

Just keep in mind, too much water over time will eventually make them smell. Try to minimize water(rain) if you can.

It rains on cows somewhere all the time and they don't care.

Cows don't always smell that good but they don't care about that either.

My old '05 Rubicon was in the rain from time to time with the top off. I took the cloth seat covers off and put Tyvek on the seats wrapping it well then putting the cloth covers back on. Kept the rain from soaking in to the foam and staying wet.
