Okay I got it hooked up already is the red light suppose to stay on even after I locked my jeep ?

We'll I bought a roughy country one and when it's off the switch turns red and well when I turn it on its green

Sounds like u might have the switch line wired to the battery (constant hot). The switch power wire needs to be spliced into a wire that is only hot when the jeep is on (cigarette lighter). W this setup, the red light will come on when u want it to, not stay continuously hot.
