LEDs (footwells) *should be on?*

I had my driverside/passenger side footwell lights replaced by a member on this forum w/ brighter LEDs. I just noticed while driving last night that when I have my headlights on, the footwell lights are on (dim). They are much dimmer than when all the lights in the interior are on, but was wondering if this is normal or not. I never noticed it when I had the non-LEDs, but those were much less bright.

there are two separate lights in the foot well, one comes on with the headlights and one comes on when you open the door with the interior light- I replace the oem ones with red led strip lights - I have not noticed a difference in brightness, but its possible ...

There are actually two sets of foot well lights. One set is hooked up to the dome light circuit, the other is hooked up to the head lights illumination circuit.

The dome light can not be dimmed, it's either on or off, the head light circuit can be dimmed (to a point) along with your dash lights by adjusting the "spinnie thingie" on the turn signal stalk.

Check out my build thread, I replaced the dome light in my foot well with white LEDs and the illumination with the head lights to blue LEDs.

hope that this helps
