Lets talk about Exhaust Mods

I'm tired of looking at the metal coffin under the back of my jeep. Me being a avid deer and turkey hunter and using my jeep on occassion to access different parts of our property keeping the noise down from an exhaust note perspective is important to me. I've searched on WF and watched tons of you tube videos of different brand exhaust set ups. Most of the magnaflow and like systems seem to be loud and just to coffee can sounding to me. I would like to have the performance pick up but not the sound. My dual exhaust flowmaster days are way behind me.

Does anyone have any suggestions for a single outlet exhaust with no rear mounted coffin that still allows some performance benefits but keeps the noise increase to a minimum? Are there any mods that I can do to remove or modify the rear coffin and still keeps the noise down?

I run a Magnaflow 15118 that I'm very happy with that fits your criteria.

I have an aFe 49-46226 Mach Force XP Cat-Back Exhaust System on mine. It isn't too loud but sounds really good. Also is a high tuck exhaust so all you will see on the back is the pipe peeking out from below. It droned for maybe a week until the muffler started to break in, now it is pretty quiet until you get on it.

You have a 4 door, so you have a good chunk of real estate to "play" with.
You are going to want 2.5" in/out.
A lot of people use our Ultra Flo Welded and a Race Bullet to get a quiet exhaust. It will be louder than stock, but not over the top.
It would be a custom job, but not hard for a shop to knock out at all.

So how does the race bullet and Ultra flow work together?
Which one goes in front of the other? Assuming bullet first in line.
Could both be mounted between the cats and rear axle or would the ultra flow have to go in same spot as the oem muffler?
Shoot me the part numbers you recommend.

Thanks!

Our Force II Cat-back System (part #817514) and Force II Axle-back System (part #817693) both produce a mild tone and could be great options for your JKU. These systems feature a smaller, less visible muffler than your factory unit. If you would like to relocate your muffler so that it is completely out of sight, the Flowmaster American Thunder high clearance system, part #817674 is the ticket. This is a more aggressive system, but because of the Laminar Flow technology used in our Super HP-2 Series muffler, you won't get a whole lot of additional interior sound. Feel free to give us a call at 707-544-4761 or send me a PM if you have any questions. We'd be happy to help you find the sound that your looking for.
