Lifetime MaxCare PLUS warranty

Hi All:

Just to bring it to your attention, yesterday I purchased a LIFETIME "MaxCare" warranty for my wife's jeep. When we took delivery of our unlimited sahara two months ago, this warranty was only offered for up to 7 years/100,000. Went into the dealership to purchase just the lifetime powertrain warranty and learned that for a very limited time, Chrysler is offerring a LIFETIME MaxCare plus warranty. This is Chryslers most extensive warranty and approaches what we think of as a new care "bumper to bumper" warranty- with NO MILEAGE or TIME RESTRICTION. Not cheap, $2800, but we keep our vehicles forever and this warranty seemed like a real value to us. Now, our Sahara will have virtually every mechanical component coverred for as long as we keep it.

Name it, and it's more than likely coverred (other than belts, hoses, brake pads, rotars, mufflers, ect. -normal wear and tear stuff).

Just FYI...from MI

I have a 10 year version of that for half the price. Chrysler service contracts. If I had the choice to make that a lifetime I would have done it as I plan on keeping the Jeep forever.

Did you buy a new vehicle? The reason I ask is because it should already have a lifetime powertrain warranty. That's the biggest expense as far as a repair goes. The rest you will be hard pressed to have over $2800 worth of repair. If you financed you actually paid much more than $2800 for the warranty.
