lift 2.5" or 3.5" for 35s

I just got a new 2014 jku today I am going to lift it and run 35's. I think I am going to get a Rock Krawler lift with bilstein5100 shocks, I don't know if I should get the 2.5" lift for $1095 or the 3.5" for $1470. Also if I get the 3.5" do i need to do more stuff besides putting exhaust extention on (not sure about driveshafts), or am I better off just getting the 2.5" lift? Also they are both the mid arm flex kit.

2.5" is enough for 35's and remember ... Most lift coils are rated for weight. This means more lift then listed. Read through the lift sticky above Jk tech. This should help answer many questions.

Thanks, I have read some of your threads and hoped you would answer. I did read the lift sticky. I do plan on adding front and rear bumpers and rock sliders.

Plus you have a 4 door. The RK 2.5 should work out great for ya.

2.5 with 35's. Flat fenders and you'll have plenty of flex.

Agreed! The 2.5 netted me 3.25 on my 2 door with weight.

Helped a friend install the RK 2.5" on his JKU a couple of weeks ago. He also runs a Rampage (90lbs) front bumper and JCR sliders (not sure how heavy, but NOT light!) and he got 4" of lift, front and back.

Make sure you're ready for whatever additional mods will be necessary once you start adding that kind of lift! My friend is already preparing for a new drive shaft.

With the old RK coils and a 2-door, you would get over 4" in front. I like a slight rake too- definitely don't like that front-slightly-higher look I had with the RK. Hopefully the new coils have solved some of these issues some of us 2-door guys had. Well, I guess it is irrelevant in my case- I traded for a JKU. Let the new obsession over springs begin....
