Lift advice

Hello everyone. I have been enjoying the forums and getting some great information.

I am looking at getting new tires for my 2008 Wrangler Sahara Unlimited, but I have a question on lift. I saw the Duratrac LT265/70R17 tires, and I am looking to get new 17" wheels to possibly fit these on.

My question is, do I need to get a lift kit to fit these on? If yes, any suggestions on an economical lift, given I drive mostly street, but may do some minor trail runs, nothing extreme.

When it comes to tires and wheels, will any 17" rim fit 17" tires? I note different widths, etc. Being a newb, the numbers can get a bit intimidating, so I do not want to make a mistake.

I appreciate any advice.

Those are basically stock tires in terms of size...so...yes, no issues fitting them on your stock 17 inch rims. When it comes wheels and tires, you need to consider width as well as diameter. As a guideline, most any tire maker will provide a list of recommended rim widths with their tires.
