I have a 2014 JKU Sport. I am looking at a lift kit with a local shop. I priced out a 3.5" Rubicon Express lift with new Springs & shocks with all other accessories. Also adding 4pc. P285/70r17 Falken M/T tires. In addition adding 1.25" Spidertrax spacers. They quoted me a price of $2,609. Is this a reasonable price?
Yes this is the total price. I am not exactly sure which kit is being installed, however I do know that new springs and shocks are included in the kit with other needed piece parts. The kit was n priced at right near $900.
That is way too much lift for that tire... You can run that tire with no lift at all. I suggest something from 1.5 to 2.5 inches of lift. You can run 35's on 2.5 and you are trying to put 33 on 3.5... Not a good look really and not great function either.
Spidertrax does not make 1.25 spacers. I would ask them which exact lift kit it is. Then saying with all needed parts does not always mean all needed parts or wanted parts.
I agree with Pressurized, 3.5" of lift is for 35" or 37" tires. 33's would look silly. Also, a lift like that will have other considerations like geometry that add to the costs and performance.
