lift height

Anyone know the roof height of an unlimited rubicon is with an AEV 4.5" lift on 35s. Just trying to figure out if its gonna fit in my garage.

I'll let you know in about a month when I get my 2012 with a 3.5" lift and 35s. Whatever I tell you then, add an inch!

you can measure the current height of your roof, and add 6.5" to it. thats 5 from the 4.5" lift and 1.5 from the tire size increase. Although you don't need that much lift for that much tire. 3" will be way more than enough and everyone here will tell you til they are blue in the face.

Hope this helps.

Helps a lot! I'll just have to get the stock height from jeeps specs. I'm not sure if I'll be doing 35's or larger. But I'm about ready to order the lift so I guess I should decide. I'm one of the lucky people still waiting for them to start producing Crush! Thank you!

not a prob. However, your jeep may not be the height that jeep says it should be. My jeep and my mom's JK were about 1.5" different before I lifted it. Just throwing that out there, but that will give you a ball park, plus no 4.5" lift will give you 4.5", more like 4-6" of lift.

Ic. Now I'm starting to wonder if the 4.5 is a waste. I've got a call in to AEV. I'll see what they tell me lol. I really don't think I need the 4.5 I'm just from the more is better school lol.

I understand completely, I have a 2.5" and am running some aftermarket 32's (all the budget would allow) and unless you doing some extreme rock crawling, you could easily run 35's with a 3.5" lift. Especially if you trim the fenders, or depending on your budget get some flat fenders or something of that nature.

Budget isn't too much of a bother. I was going to buy a 2012 srt8 GC. So I have about 10k to waste on accessories. Just want to be sure I get the right gear. I figured this would be a lot more fun!

haha I bet it will be. They are surprisingly capable offroad even in stock form. I might suggest taking it offroading after you get it before you start throwing as much money at it as possible. You will be able to determine where your money is most needed. Just something I learned on here.

I think ill do the front bumper and the winch first. One of my favorite places I've been, I got my buddies F150 stuck for 2 days. A winch would have saved me then.....but then again.....I'd imagine a jeep wouldn't have got stuck.
