soft racks....a fraction of the cost of Thules..and you can take them off in a flash
and txcoastie.....not sure where you are in texas.....but one of the longest rideable waves on earth is in HOUSTON. Go to YOUTUBE and search TEXAS TANKER SURFING. My longest ride so far is right at about 3 miles....and 8 minutes long. Pro surfers and celebrities come from all over the globe to ride this novelty wave. It should be on all surfers bucket list. Its a BLAST!
I Cracked the window in an FJ Cruiser just like that.....wasn't moving or braking...just slid it in too far. Cant remember if it was in travel bag though. Might have been in a sock.
soft racks are essential for any surfer that travels and rents a vehicle. you would be amazed how many surfboards you can stack on top of a vw beetle with some soft racks
I use the FCS soft racks. When I am topless I put one rack over the sound bar and the other over the rear roll bar. The front of my board (10 Ft San O) rests on the windshield cross bar. You can load at least 3 long boards and run topless. Great set up. If you have your hard top on its even easier
Nice. I've done the same with my 9 footer. But it only works if I'm the only one heading out. Where do you surf? I'm down at the cliffs at HB or Bolsa typically.
D'oh. Never mind the question. I thought you were in so cal.
