I don't seem to be able to find lock to fit smittybilt oversized tire carrier. Bought one with 2 inch shank and it was to long. Bought shorter one and it was to thick and and the ones that look like they will fit are not weather resistant and so much thin could be cut easy. Anyone found good lock that will fit

i did but I am using the rubicon wheel as test my new wheels and tires go on Friday so maybe the lock I bought today will work on it but it don't it only has 1 1/2 shank when closed but when open it hits wheel and comes in at angle and will not go through bracket hole all though it will go through hole when off,

I use a brass bodied lock on mine that fits perfectly. Yes you can cut it off, but it won't rust the way the steel ones will.

thats what I bought but with 1 1/2 shank and may work on my new wheels but not rubicon wheels.by the way since I am using my 32 tire as sample I tried to estimate the carrier adjustments so I got the light as high as it will go and used middle holes on carrier because instructions say that the usual jokes for 35 tires
