I saw LOD post these on another forum and didn't notice them posted here. The pictures are of prototype builds. I think they look great and I'm surprised it's taken someone this long before coming out with a rock slider step that looks like the OEM steps but actually provide off-road protection use as well. I think I'll be waiting for these to come out before making my steps purchase.

Greetings fellow Jeep lovers! We here over at LOD Offroad have been working hard to bring you the new Destroyer Series! Having already produced front and rear/tire carrier bumpers, we will soon be releasing the 2017 Jk Jeep Destroyer armor steps! They will feature a solid mounting system, must-have features such as no-slip tread steps, and even available options such as integrated courtesy lights! Here are some prototype photos from the fab shop Let us know what you think!
$399 and under and I'm in as well but I have my doubts....but can still hope.
Really tired of seeing all the steps/rails made out of pipes.
I've been considering juat taking,my OE Rubi rock rails and welding on some foot steps rather than buying a step rail made out of pipes, but this LOD step has my interest
Can't wait to see these. I swap between the factory plastic steps and regular rubi rails because my wife NEEDS a step, but I NEED at least some protection off road. These look like a good mix.
Similar situation. I have my factory plastic steps currently on and a set of Rubi rails hanging in the rafters in my garage. I've been wanting to put the Rubi rails on but my wife currently has a hard time getting in with the steps. So I don't even dare try putting the rubi rails on without some kind of additional step solution and everything I've seen so far is pretty ho-hum where they're not worth getting rid of the rubi rails, just so I can replace them with something that uses a pipe for a step. Heck, I rather just go to Home Depot, buy some water pipe and weld on my own pipes to the rubi rails and powder coat. These LOD's actually have some style and it looks like you don't lose a ton of ground clearance.
In the other discussion, they mentioned some possible options that may be incorporated as well such as some rubber and lighting. I'm guessing the rubber may be used for non slip step surfaces which all sounds great to me.
Come on LOD!!! Price range target and timing....give it up!!!
Still waiting for more info on these. Would love to see more pics/updates on these sliders. One concern I noticed is, how will it drain and clear any water/dirt/mud/pebbles etc with all the holes on the steps. any pic of the bottom?
I can't wait to see them.
For my family, they will be extremely functional, so my wife and kids can get in easier and not complain about not having a step, plus, they look great.
Is there any update as to when these will be available? Been waiting a while for these. The wife is bugging me like crazy to get some steps on the Jeep. I keep telling her these will be coming out soon. I may end up having to get something else if these don't come out soon.
I've been waiting to hear about availability and price. Heard these were coming for about 4 months now. Getting ready to pull the trigger on another brand if it is taking much longer.
I got tired of waiting and purchased the LoD signature sliders. Love them! I had them welded on instead of messing around with drilling holes in the frame.
Been hearing about these for six or seven months now. Nothing definitive yet. Just wish I could get a price point on these. It would make my decision of waiting them out or researching other sliders.
I have been a LoD fan as I had their sliders on my last rig and really liked them they were solid. These peaked my interest for my new jkr but I have lost interest in waiting for the ever dangling carrot. If it has taken this long to get this far with the 4 door version (still don't know when and how much) the release of the 2 door version probably will be ions down the road. I have tried contacting LoD a couple of times to see if any time line and nada.
I'd go this route in a heartbeat myself, but I also have not gotten a response from LoD. I still have my stock RRs & ACE sliders. I'd prefer to sell them both & go this route but if the 2 Door sliders never materialize my mod money will go elsewhere.
