Does anyone know if the stock air dam will work with the LOD lite bumper?

that plastic piece under the bumper?

toss it.

When my truck was at RK for the x-factor lift install, they took it off and trashed automaticly.

That thing is garbage. If your going to change the bumper, spring for a skid plate in that spot.

It helps a lot with mpg. This is my DD, and I spend most my time cruising above 45+, when aerodynamics matter most.

a skid will do the same thing. LOD offers a skid also.

ps. I dont work at nasa, but I dont buy that that piece of plastic helps mpg "alot". I could be completely wrong.

What are the options of attaching a license plate with this bumper? I was reading about removable front LoD logo, and use the holes for the license plate. What do you guys know? Thanks.

"You can purchase an optional light bar with the stinger for $29."

Where does the light bar go? Do you have a link so I can get a visual?
Thanks.

if you order directly from lod you can ask for front license plate provision and they will drill and thread two holes for a front plate at no extra charge.
the only problem is that with the holes for the stock fog lights are about 1" too close together to totally clear most plates but if you plan on running duallys they would be golden

Thanks, so it seems that the fairlead option is the best, then.

I've got the LoD midwidth bumper and totally love it. I agree that it comes packed very well and is very nicely finished. It installed easily (if you discount getting a wrench into tight places) and looks great. The Warn VR-8000s fit beautifully in the pocket. With synthetic rope on the winch I did not notice a significant front end sag and it had no discernible effect on handling. The Lod folks were great to work with too (I bought direct).

looks like the newer bull bars are higher than what was in the initial release (closer to the prototype pictures that's displayed on the sites).

So I just installed a very similar setup (armor lite mid and engo 10000) and ran into a small snag. The winch is so close to my grill that I had to jam the solenoid cables down in there and now they are starting to rub my grill. Did anybody else run into this issue and if so what did you do. Or if you didn't have this issue Any suggestions for me?

Mine have the same issue; however, after almost a year, I haven't seen any dents, scratches, or other problems with it.

Thanks for the reply, that makes me feel better. I noticed its starting to rub the paint some so I bought some clear 3M tape and I'm gonna put that behind the wires. One more question, does anybody run a quick disconnect for their winch cable to the battery? It kinda scares me a little to have a hot wire running through the front of the jeep. I'm worried about it rubbing then shorting out.

definitely put some protection around the hot wire so it does not rub thru.

I would look at moving the control box to a different location as well.

Did you use the spacers from the stock bumper? I didn't at first and had the same problem with my winch. Then put the factory spacers in behind the anchor bolts and there's even more room on the bolts to add another 1/8" -3/16" spacer if you need it.

You mean those square things that were behind the bolts on the stock one? How far out will that push the new bumper (I don't have mine available right now to look at)? You running the armor lite? The question would be are the bolts that came with the armor lite going to be long enough with the spacers? Mine were kinda short. If so that's a good idea to gain a little space.

It's been a while since I installed mine... trying real hard to picture the spacers you're talking about, and I do remember the LoD bolts being really short.

It would be great to figure out a way to create space, though!

Hmm

I think these are the spacers being discussed although by the looks of this picture you would not gain a whole lot from them. But at this point something is better than nothing right? Just not sure if it would be with taking my bumper back apart to add that much. Maybe the spacer plus a few washers tho.

I'm running the mid armor lite with a warn zeon 10-s. the factory spacers (I had 4 of the
m) are rectangle with one half having shoulders with 2 holes in each. My bumper came with 2" button head hex bolts that mount the bumper (thru the tow rings, bull bar, bumper, spacers and frame)

here's a pic looking behind the bumper at the spacers:
It's hard to see the one i made 3/16" extra but you can see the factory one (the shoulders or wings are on top sticking out a little).

and looking down the grill:
Now the winch doesn't touch the grill and there's room for the winch power cables to run down under the grill (not thru my mesh grill) without pinching the thick power cables.

YES, that is the factory spacers
I added 3/16" more. just a piece of steel i had that was 3/16" thick and drilled two 1/2" holes into and painted black. washers could work too.

Hmm... I need to pop my bumper for another reason, so I think I'll add some of those spacers when I put it back on.

My biggest problem with this setup is that I have to remove the entire bumper/winch in order to pull the grill. I think that's a common problem, but it's still a total PITA! lol

The other problem is that the Engo10000S winch cables barely reach the battery... another PITA.
