Loners?

Took mi babi in to the dealer to fix mi water leak. If it has to go to a body shop to be fix, I won't have a vehicle which I need. And since it's bloody new, do should provide me a loner vehicle, right?

Don't they give loners out under warranty repairs?

If anyone knows, please reply asap! SPANK JU!!!

Loaners?

That is something that I will ask to be written into my buying agreement. The Jeep dealer in Naperville does not do loaners...but they do allow you to "rent" a Jeep...

That would be up to the dealership to offer that service. With age comes experiance. While many new vehicle buyers are concerned with price only, a loner car is actually a question that we ask every time we purchase a new car.

"The Bitter taste of poor quality remains much longer than the sweet taste of a low price"

This applies to service from a dealer as well. You pointed out a great question to ask at the time of the sale.

That is a very good quote.
When I think about my experience with a Jeep dealer...a loaner is very, very, very underrated.

The shuttle service at the Naperville location is only good for a 5 mile radius and they don't do loaners... What good is that? I once got them to drop me off 8 miles away... And another time, I simply took my bicycle with me.....dropped off the Jeep, and biked 14 miles back home. Turned around and biked back the next day to pick-up my Jeep.

"Good" dealers will provide a loaner vehicle for warranty repairs or paid repairs over a certain amount that will take more than a few hours. Even if that means they have an agreement with a nearby local car rental agency.

Papas dodge here in CT is huge. I did not expect a loner for warranty work on a used vehicle. I did ask and got "no but we have a Budget rep in house" I had to pay for a rental but the at a reduced cost. I also asked if they did loners for "new" cars and the answer was still "no".
This dealership is so big it even has a barber shop inside haha. I really don't think dealerships do loners anymore unless you bought an absolute lemon that needed 2 weeks worth of dionostic/work. If just paid 40k and the vehicle was to be held that long--I would expect some kind of loaner

Our dealership gives us a loner if we drop off our Jeep for service.

The dealership that we bought our car actually drives out to our home and picks up the car and leaves us a loaner.

So some dealerships really go out of there way to take care of there customers. They are still out there.
But I have to say I like the Barber shop idea.

Now that's a dealer that knows what they're doing. I can get a loaner for repair work on our Mini Cooper with no problem but not with our Rubi. So far I haven't needed repairs but I find that amazing. Chyrsler/Fiat in general seems to suck. All of their dealers should treat you like your dealer does. Not just one out of a gazzillion. If we didn't really like our Jeeps I would never purchase another Chrysler product. Had to vent.

Yeah, even my little podunk local dealer loans out during warranty service. And they have, at max, two Wranglers on the lot at any given time.

Might have to consider the high line cars for loaners. I've never received a loaner domestic cars (never owned a Caddy) but always get one from my dealers forthe other kinds of cars. Good luck but it never hurts to ask for it.

Chrysler does not cover the cost of loaner/rental cars unless you have a Chrysler extended warranty.

Fields does loaners for lifetime you own the vehicle, free car washes six days a week any Fields dealership nationwide, shuttle service, ice cream parlor, internet work stations, paintless dent repair, and gourmet coffee bar. Our BMW and Infiniti dealerships have chefs on duty making just about anything you want.

As stated above, great convenient service after the purchase has a value as well.

Well now that is good to hear!

Fields Chrysler Jeep Dodge | New Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram dealership in Northfield, IL 60093

What sucks is that I'm basically on the opposite corner of the city from Northfield...trying to get their after work for service during rush hour would probably be a 90 minute drive.
But it gives me something to think about....

Oops! Did not realize I typed loners instead of loaners

But at least you know what the hell I meant

I've worked for a few dealers & I've always seen LOANERS......given to customers. Even if they don't have a loaner they will give them a rental. And at no cost to the customer. So I was wondering cause I never needed one before.

But anyways. Got mi babi back & to the much surprise!!! They did not find anything. Could not duplicate mi concern at all. Which is funny since I was able to duplicate mi issue last night. And I also had them check out my center console. When you lock it, you can still open it.

Tech adjusted the hatch or something. I tested it myself & found that it still does the same thing. So I'm feeling like he didn't do shit to it & just made up some story. Adviser was piss when I show him that it's still doing the same thing. Damn tech. Adviser said he was going to order a lock for it. Hopefully he'll remember to do so. I'll wait till close of the end of the day tomorrow for his phone call. If I don't get it, I'll call him to remind him.

And you can always call me, come later at night, drop off and I'll have a car waiting for you, or I'll just give you my demo, it's not like I can't jump in another vehicle for the night.(we have a 2011 CTS-V coupe on the lot I'd really like to drive for more than 5 minutes!)

I know we are a haul for you, but you won't be disappointed. And I'll always make it as convenient as I can for you.

Want a loaner when going in for warranty work? Call Chrysler and request one.

I took my Jeep into the dealer a few months ago for a leaking hard top. Prior to dropping it off at the dealer, I called Chrysler and requested a loaner. The Chrysler rep called the dealer, arranged for a loaner at Chrysler's expense, and the loaner was ready when I arrived at the dealer.

By the way, I don't have an extended warranty. It's still under the 3 yr/36k standard warranty. I am the second owner of the Jeep and I had never even gone to this dealer before.

Was In the same situation. Had to pay for a rental

I am now over the factory warranty but bought the ext warranty. Not sure if the rental is free or $50/day

Hope I never find out

If it's a Chrysler ext warranty is covers rental up to $50 per day. If the dealer rents a vehicle for you as long as it is less than $50 you are good.

Getting a loaner is another good reason to buy the Chrysler extended warranrty.

Yep, you sparked my memory

The only vehicle they had at the time for rental was a 11 Dodge Dakota. I think I paid around $75--that's their discounted rate and trucks are more expensive. $50 should get you a decent vehicle if you have the extended warranty.
