Looking for a bikini like this:

Amazon.com: Bestop 52508-01 Traditional Bikini Black Top: Automotive

With rear straps. Does not look like Bestop makes one for the JK. Thanks.

This is what you are looking for: bestop-product

Nothing about a JK though.

Since my JKU is in transit, it's time I started looking for a bikini top. The one you linked to would be prefect. I wonder if there are other brands offering equivalent tops?

had 1 on my YJ, while they may look cool, they are not too functional. You can't get the straps in back tight enough to keep the top from sagging during a downpour. Happened several times, where the middle looked like a swimming pool after the rain stopped. also - very very very floppy at highway speeds.

Okay, with that concept in mind -- are there any better recommendations?

Not exactly like the one linked in the OP, but I have one of these and really like it:

Wrangler Accessories, Jeep Top, Wrangler Top

A friend of mine has a TJ with one of those Spiderweb ones and loves it. I'm planning on getting one for my JKU in a couple months when the rain stops. Just have to debate between just the top or the top plus the bit that surrounds the rear cargo area (it's all mesh so it doesn't block the view).

I talked to Bestop. They only make the strap version for the CJ. No JK! Might have to fab something up. Any other brands to look into?

The bestop bikini for my jku kinda sucks in the fit and finish dept.

I had to buy a rail, betting $57 is NOT the end of the expense of having one.

Yes, I too look like the staypuff marshmallow man going down the road.

You can always add the cargo area part later. I don't think the price difference is too much if you buy them separately.

They probably don't make them like that anymore because of the roll cage. The old Jeeps had the angles in the back so the straps were parallel. I think they may be odd looking and harder to create that way with the squared off roll cage.

My TJ bikini top didn't have those either. And it was a nightmare to get on and off, and needed that drilled in header bar.

I wised up and got a Spiderweb Shade this time. That thing is great if you don't mind mesh/don't want rain protection. Easy to put on, can pretty much leave it on with the top. The only thing I don't like is that it sits down further than other tops: in between the bars, not on top of them. That's a couple of inches of headroom given up.

Good luck in your search.

Bikinis are good for your Jeep.

They make it look good:

They keep it clean:

They help keep it warm when its cold outside:

They protect your seats from mud when you go wheeling:

They stop your roll-bar padding from fading:

Every Jeep should have a bikini!

That is a land rover I believe, but I'll let it slide.

Are you using the door surrounds with it?
