Looking for advice on JK Lifts

One of my buddies is looking to lift his JK in the next couple of weeks. He wants to run 33x12.5 Duratracs so he should only need a 2.5" from what I understand. He has stock Moabs wheels and everything else is stock. I'm a TJ guy so this is all new to me. Is there anything he would need other than this kit?

He'll be able to run it just fine with no lift on the street (might need spacers for the stock wheels). A budget boost/leveling kit would work, I went for a 2" rancho lift for my 33x12.5x15s and have been happy. That aev would work too, but there are cheaper options if he's on any budget.

What he said.

That 2.5 inch lift will run 35s easy. Also...some nutty JKers will trim some bits and rock 37s on their 2.5 inch lift.

Thanks for the input guys. So he would be fine with stock height to run 33x12.5s?

Depending on wheels, he may rub at full lock, but lift wont help that. I put the 2" lift on because I got some rubbing on the fenders when twisting around off road. For the street, no need to lift. I actually like the look better with no lift, the tires fill up the wheel wells better.
