Picked up a Kiddie Ext. at the local Harbor freight shop & included mounts. Heck the silver one came as a close match to my paint, haha. The first aid kit I picked up at a local WalGreens and was very complete.

Well now, why would anyone mount a fire extinguisher in a convenient "QUICK" spot and still need access to wire cutters to getit loose ??

I've got some long velcro strips that I wrap around the extinguishers and seat rails.
My zipties are loose enough for speedy withdrawel of the exting-, but snug enough to prevent roll-out-

If you can't digit--use velcro !

Don't cheap out on first aid - it may be you or your own family you save. Seriously, do it right.

As was mentioned earlier, get proper training in First Aid. I recommend a Red Cross Basic First Aid course at the minimum, and prefer to see folks get advanced training like the Wilderness First Aid certification.

I carry a full WFA bag in the rig at all times. We tend to be in places outside the range of the Golden Hour, so caring for and stabilizing someone for an extended period of time will be neccesary. It's also why I carry a SPOT device to get help if needed.

This is what I started my WFA pack with, and I have added a few items since then. That includes an EpiPen since we are in an area with Africanized bees.

Thanks for any advice!

That kit is very understocked. For $30 you can do a lot better.

(This is a two year old thread.)
