Looking for Front Differential axle

I bought a 2011 Wrangler Sport which has a bent front Differential axle, and the passenger side damaged badly. Not sure if it comes with DANA 30 with 3.21 ratio front axle or not, if anyone knows what type of axle, please post. I prefer to replace what I have rather than repair it. Please contact me if you have a front axle differential for sale, or where I can find a used one.

Definitely had a Dana 30 front axle. If it has a Auto tranny it has 3.73 gears. If manual it comes standard with 3.21 with an upgrade option to 3.73

automatic vs manual transmission front axle

I found front axle off an automatic transmission on JK 2007 Sport, will it fit on the manual transmission for JK 2011 Sport, if yes, any the down side in using the 3.73 vs the 3.21 on the manual transmission.

If the front ratio and back ratio don't match, your transfer case binds up when you put it in 4wd.

Can I change the front differential from 3.73 to 3.21, if yes, what parts can i remove from my existing 3.21(right side bent) to install on the 3.73 differential to make it 3.21. thanks

Financially speaking, your best bet is to find an axle with the correct ratio already. #2 financially would be to have a capable shop put the 3.21s out of your old axle into the new one and #3 would be to have 3.73s installed in the rear and use the replacment axle as is.

For performance the best thing to do would be #3 unless you want to regear the whole thing.

Pick numba 3 my lowd!! lol. Oil has an excellent point. Regear it all to 3.73 so you dont have to redo it all later when you put bigger tires on it
