Looking for ideas to secure dog in cargo compartment of 2 door for short trips

Has anyone developed a solution either with straps or other device to put your dog in the back/cargo area of a two door JK so that the dog can be placed in the back but cannot jump out ? I know I could always use a seatbelt strap and put her in the back seat, but when my kids are with me I'm looking for a safe cargo solution. Appreciate any ideas.

get a harness and tie it to the headrest or one of the rear seat mounting points

Harness and strap it either to the floor mounting point or up above on the roll bar.

Or just buy a strap system like safari or dirty dog.

If you are asking about putting the dog behind the rear seats in a 2 door, unless it is a very small dog there is not enough room. Even with a small dog I wouldn't want to do that.

They make dog seat belts now and u could just clip it into the seatbelt straps if u want to keep ur pup not in the back but in an actual seat

I have Safari Straps- they're great . I also have a grab bar/handle that attaches thru the two bolts in the sound bar. I loop the leash thru this; and use a harness on my dog. I think my leash is 5ft- with this method even if I didn't have the straps she can't jump out. However I think I 'll have to put my seat back in and flipped forward- she has too much room to move ( or slip) with the seat out. I want the seat to confine her a little and be a cushion.
For long trips- crate only.
