Was looking into getting some better headlights, seeing if anyone can recommend a better or brighter bulb or am I better off going with a HID or Xenon ?

Thanks

There's a shit ton of threads on this one, it seems to me the most popular replacement is LED headlights. I have the KC Hilites, but there's other options including JW Speaker, Quadratec and Trucklights. There's also off brand options out there as well.

I installed the Quadredec LED replacement headlights in my new Jeep yesterday and noticed a major improvement in visibility. Plug and play, easy instal. If you are like me, a baby boomer with declining night vision, these are for you. There are other options as already mentioned. The factory headlights are terrible. Yes tons of threads on this subject already.

Swapping an HID kit into halogen housings is technically illegal. Please don't go this route.

Spend a few moments searching these forums and you'll come across dozens of threads covering this topic.

That being said, I have the Quadratec Stealth LED headlights, and they are in my opinion, the best bang for the buck headlight upgrade out there right now. There are other options from KC, Truck Lite, JW Speaker, etc.

That's B.S. well part of it, with the factory lens they work quite well in fact I have had them for over a year and I have drivin my car with my girl following me with the jeep with no glare issues at all hell I get glare issues from regular p/u behind me. Now most of the other cars out there have terrible glare issues with HIDs and I spent much less then LED headlights and see with no issues now at night.

About a month ago I got the Delta 01-1148 LED2 replacement headlights on both my JKs on Amazon for $245/pair.

So far so good.

At one point there was a little flickering going on at idle, but it seems to have gone away.

Good luck,

Aldo

i got the delta quadbar with halos (the $600 pair) and a review is coming. im not seeing as much throw as id hoped so i think it might be an aiming issue. will need to be aimed higher.

You can start by first aiming your headlights and see how that works. 90% of the time the headlights are poor because they are not aimed properly. Folks tend to forget that once lifts or leveling kits and bigger tires are installed the lights must be re aimed ...

yah thats what im hoping for... its very bright directly in front but dissipates quickly farther away. should be an aiming issue (unless i paid good money for crap headlights lol but i doubt that.)
I'll finish installing the halos today (ran out of daylight for the wiring) and post a review after i re-aim them.

Well technically 95% of the wranglers on here have illegal stuff whether it be lights, tires sticking out etc. But all I was getting at was our lens work suprisingly well with HIDs and there were a couple comparisons compared to big name LEDs

I just realized my previous comment was censored because I tried to be helpful and added a link to amazon, which probably violated terms of use here . In any case if one needs improvement for DD upgrading the bulbs to better phillips or sylvania bulbs is a 5 minutes and $40 mod. Mine installed for 18 months now and lighting is 2-3x better than factory. Of course proper light alignment after a lift is also a must and offroad lighting might be a need for some doing expeditions at night in backroads
