Looking to get a lift and larger tires.

I'm a new jeep owner, I have a 2012 jk 2 door sport. I'd like to put a lift kit on it and put 35's on to. My first question is, will a 2.5" lift be sufficient, and what kit should I go with. The second question I have is what wheels and tires should I go with. I have a 4wheel parts store in el paso that i would likely utilize for installation unless anyone knows of a better place in the area. Thanks in advance guys for helping out this new guy.

If I could go back a year I'd make the decisions, that I'm paying for this year. 4 door on 285/75R17 at's and an AEV 2.5 lift. But that's just me. It my dd, I do a lot if on road driving and very light off roading here in Louisiana. A lot of dirt roads and some hills.

Joshua welcome to the forum. 2.5" lift is good for 35's. A Few questions should be asked. Do you want an aggressive look with mud terrain tires or would you prefer all terrain tires. If it's a daily driver you may want to consider A/T tires. Some popular choices are-
Goodyear duratrac
Toyo AT2
Falken Tires
Too many good A/T tires to list.
Mud Terrain tires tend to be louder and will wear out sooner. Maybe you're more concerned about the look of the tire. You could take a look at some jk build threads and see what you like. Good luck on your research.
