Looking @ used JKUR w/ AEV suspension/bumpers - got AEV Q's...

Looking at a 2015 JKUR that appears to have front and rear AEV bumpers, AEV Pintler wheels with 35" BFGs and an AEV lift. It's at a Mazda dealer so they don't know less than I do (coming from a TJ) .Unfortunately, I didn't take any useful pictures...

Can I tell if it has been reflashed, esp if the gearing is unknown? Acceleration seemed pretty good and I ran just over 2k RPMS at 60mph. Dealer website says 4.1 axles.

Is there a way to visually confirm which AEV lift - 2.5" vs 3.5" lift?

The bumper appears to have the winch plate and fairlead mount. Does anyone know if a Warn X8000i is compatible? That's what I have from my TJ (RIP).

Anything I should look for related to the AEV accessories or in general?

Thanks.

The AEV website will have much of what you're looking for.

The pictures look like a 3.5" lift to me. Differences between 2.5" and 3.5"/4.5" lifts:

"If you compare the 2.5? DualSport XT Suspension System with the ?SC? versions of the 3.5 and 4.5? systems, there are many differences. The springs, shocks, bumpstops and rear trackbar tower used in the 2.5? kit are all unique and different from what is used in the 3.5? and 4.5? kits. The 3.5? and 4.5? kits also include a High Steer Kit, Front Control Arm Drop Brackets, ProCal and Jack Base. This leaves only the rear track bar and the brake line drop brackets as common parts between the kits. In short, it won?t be an easy upgrade to move from a 2.5? kit into either a 3.5? or 4.5? kit."

It's a near certainty with 35" inch tires that it would be reflashed. Otherwise there would be issues including speedo and transmission. If you do have an AEV 3.5" lift it was actually delivered with the Procal module and hopefully it is still with the Jeep.

In my experience AEV products are top notch, so provided they are genuine and were properly installed you have some excellent parts there. Do check how the tailgate swings. It should be tight but without bind. KM2s can be tough to balance so it's worth it to see how much weight is on each wheel, including the spare. Might provide some negotiating leverage as you have $2,800 worth of wheels and tires there.

I can't confirm if your x8000i will fit. It's definitely not the intended winch and will not fit like the newer Zeon's, etc. Winch installation requires removal of the bumper... a fairly significant job so plan to do it right with the correct winch.

Cool Jeep - I hope you can work a deal and make it yours

As stated AEV are great lifts if installed correctly I have 2.5 with 35's and it rides better than factory. Go to AEV site and read about different lifts, you should be able to look under and see which shocks and should be marked with AEV sticker. There is a forum on the AEV site that would also be helpful on determining all you need to know. Picture is hard to tell if it is a 2.5 or 3.5 as mine sits pretty high and as stated is 2.5. There is an app you can put on your phone to check speed against jk speedometer, if speed matches than I would say that a pro cal was done.

Thanks for the feedback and suggestions. Just joined the AEV forum so will ask similar questions there. Hope to get back out the dealer one evening this week and take a closer look.
