Lost Door Hinge Bolts

So as I was beginning the process of putting my doors back on after a few days of nice cruising, I stupidly put the bolts on my rear bumper. Now at this time, I was recruited to get some painting supplies for my family. Not being able to pass up the opportunity of one last moment of driving doorless, I hopped in and was on my way. It wasn't until I returned home that I realize that the bolts are now gone. ( I also realized I drove without mirrors as well ) I looked up the street for them, but they're gone.

So my question to you guys is this: is this anything to panic over? Should I order a new set of bolts ASAP and not drive until they arrive? Or is this something I shouldn't be worried about? Thanks for any input!

I would either order new ones or go to the hardware store and get some that fit. If your asking you should drive with the doors on and no bolts then i would say no don't drive with doors and no bolts.

Not sure about the JK, but on my TJ they stayed off and never had a problem. Curious what others recommend.

The bolts are only to help deter theft of the doors. I never put mine back in after removing my doors the first time.

They don't even deter theft. When the doors are closed and locked they aren't coming off with or without them. Most people take them off and leave them off.

Mine came off the first time I removed my doors and haven't been back on since. I couldn't imagine having to go through the rigmarole of messing with bolts every time I wanted the doors off. I reconfigure my Jeep all the time though.

External, visual door bolts are one of the dumb things Jeep does with the Wrangler. This is a daily driver. I don't need hood latches, door bolts, a strange license plate holder, or whatever other silly thing I'll eventually discover.

Thanks for all the replies! I think from what I've gathered is I'll just run without them. I guess it was an unintentional time saver for when I take the doors off
