It's actually just a slight deep rumble at idle, but it really roars when you open it up. I took off the clamp from the center of the exhaust and just stored the rest of the pipe in the garage lol. The pipe exits right under the seats so the rumble can actually be FELT inside of the cabin.

Which muffler do you have?
Any complaints about interior noise?
The muffler I have is part #24411. It is alot smaller than the factory muffler. The 24413 muffler looks like it is the same size as the original muffler. I don't know if that would make it louder because it is a bigger muffler. But, even though mine is smaller, it makes a pretty good rumble. I don't have any complaint about interior noise. It is certainly not annoying, even with the top down. The Corsa muffler has what they call "no drone" technology, & it works, because at highway speeds there is no annoying drone through the interior. Just a sweet rumble. I might try to take a video of it tonight with my phone tonight when I get home from work. If I can figure out how to do it, I'll post it. I'm sure you were probably there already. But, here's a link to Corsa's website so you can see the difference between the two mufflers.

Here's a few pictures I just took of my muffler.
I'm very happy with it & I highly recommend it.

And do the exhaust gases exit up through the cabin as well. There is a reason the exhaust is designed to exit past the body, besides being the law. It's so you don't kill yourself.

Ya know, those exhausts are pretty cool and all, but a REAL man would put these on their jeep...not only will you be able to wake your neighbor at o'dark thirty, but you'll be able to grill his Hyundai too.

Thanks for the feedback and video. Sounds great. I don't like how low your tail section is though. Looking for more clearance. I'll check the installation videos and see if the off-road version is the same size.

I'm sitting here thinking that putting an exhaust on a V6 Jeep is ridiculous, but that actually sounds really good.

There are 4 catyletic converters on the JK exhaust system. I'm sure it's safe to run w/o muffler as long as the gasses exit beyond the body.

Uhhh no. Maybe you have a Cali special or something. No 4 cats on my jeep. I am running no muffler on mine and actually not too bad.

I had a Gibson exhaust on my jeep, but I took it off because the tailpipe was rubbing on my rear shock. The only difference I could tell was that it was a little bit louder, but it sounded exactly the same

Howdy,
I have the 60 flowmaster. It is much deeper than the 40 series and for me the lack of drone is great. I had to order it after reading about it on the flowmaster site. Well, have a goodun!!!!

From what I read on their site, they are special-order. You send them the specs on your vehicle and they build one for you. They're not a cheap mod by any stretch (my system cost $1,100 and is not an ATAK). The videos on their site show the ATAK system on a Mustang and on one other vehicle that I can't recall at the moment.

Ah, the Harley motto, "Loud Pipes Save Lives".

The other two mottos are "If Loud Pipes Save Lives, Imagine What Learning To Ride That Thing Could Do" and "If You Can't Be Fast, Be Loud"

And BTW, I even own a Harley

What is the big deal with loud motors? It sounds like to me - you know what? Never mind... I'm going to shut up right here. I went through some permanent changes within me and my life.

But I think it's safe to say that while I was on the road for 3,200 mi with the jeep, I had my hearing aids turned off the whole time. Very peaceful and I didn't have my vision bouncing because of motor and road noise. My hearing aids are so loud that just a simple tap on the counter with a fork can cause my vision to shake quite a bit once. I can't imagine doing that for several days of driving.

In case you forgot, a GP ought to not be so noisy that the enemy can hear you far enough away to take you out. I equate loud motors to "rice burners," and I can't stand the mentality of people who own and drive them sometimes. WE get a lot of that here in H-town.

Sorry guys, but honestly, when I crossed back into home county, I cried because I was not happy to be back home.

DAMN!!, I knew it!!! Those loud Harley-Davidsons ARE rice-burners after all!!! And to think I was hoodwinked into thinking they were Made in the USA...
