Love my wrangler but...

Had my 07 for a year now and love it. It was essentially new (25400 miles) and I always take care of my vehicles....too much maybe. Anyway so far I have had the gear shift bezel come completely loose, the cover on the rear door hinge fall off when washing and today the rear seat belt cover come off when I was cleaning the inside of recent dusty roads. Not too mention I think mine is also an oil burner (can live with it). Have to say for the price of new Jeeps Chrysler cheaps out in many ways....

Your Jeep is 6 or 7 years old. What do you expect?

That can happen on any vehicle and at any time. As long as you love your wrangler, I'm sure you'd put up with a lot more than that.

I dont expect parts to just fall off with 34000 miles to be honest. Never had a vehicle before that had parts disassemble unless it was 15 years old or abused. Shifter bezel should never come off IMHO. Still love the beast tho.

It's the pleasure of owning an aging vehicle,

Just keep putting the parts back on.

CraZy Glue can do wonders at times, so can New Parts to replace the old.

Just because certain parts fall off, doesn't make it a Bad Vehicle, it's just asking for a bit more love from it's owner

Your absolutely right. Chrysler cheaps out on everything. It's not just you, I see this with a lot of what is on my jeep too, except mines a 2012 with 13,000.. No I'm not having things falling off, but listen to this. Many of the bolts in your suspension don't fit the right size hole (Chrysler too lazy to get proper bolt sizes) caused my DW, The new Pentastar began production a little over 2 years ago, during which Chyrsler was well aware of the head issue and still produced them anyways. The ball joints are exceptionally weak (all ball joints wear eventually, but especially fast due to crappy quality). Have you seen the head lights on your vehicle? The list goes on.

But honestly, Wranglers are so damn great, the head ache that comes with them is totally worth it.

Like others have said, you're basically describing any aging vehicle. I admit Chrysler quality SUCKS but as long as you survive the first 50K miles without any major issues then you're home free to just deal with the getting-old issues from there on out.

I don't think things should just fall apart after 6 to 7 years . Hell , most car loans are 6 years . To bad Toyota didn't buy the Jeep brand and produce a real Jeep . Then the quality would be there .By the way my Jeep is a 2007 and nothing has fallen apart . Maybe he just got a crappy one .By the way , my other Jeep is 52 years old and nothing is falling apart .

If Toyota had bought Jeep I never would have bought one....the last Toyota I purchased brand new in 2004 (05 Tacoma TRD loaded) was such a poor quality vehicle I will not purchase another Toyota product. I have owned 3 brand new Toyotas...2 Tacomas and 1 Tundra and will not be wasting any more of my money buying their crap. I dumped that POS withing the first year and never looked back.

I know where this threat is going... Lets be honest all companies have their goods and bads. My experience with Chrysler sucks and my Toyota Landcruiser has 170,000 miles and is a complete brute. But I'll take my jeep any day over the Landcruiser. A lot of people get bugs, where as others just so happen to buy a low quality. But I think we can all agree that Chrysler can most certainly do a MUCH better job on the wrangler when it comes to the smaller things like lights, accessories etc. but over all, Wranglers are one of the last vehicles built to last mechanically.
