Lower Control Arms Question

I have some of these coming this week to compliment my RK 2.5 Stock Mod. Honestly, after I did a minor alignment myself, the Jeep drives pretty good. I 'maybe' noticed a flighty feeling once or twice, or it might have just been me, but are aftermarket LCA's essential and what kind of difference will I notice once installed? Also, can someone please explain the difference physically in what I have on there now and the new ones?

Thanks!

The new arms should be adjustable, so you can make them a little longer to increase the caster angle (push the bottom of the diff forwards). When you lift it the caster decreases (bottom of diff rotates back) from the barely acceptable 4.5 degrees (+/- a little) stock to dangerously low (at 2.5in lift prob well below 4). At low angles the steering becomes flightly and prone to wobbles over bumps. Whilst annoying at first, the wobbles will slowly deteriorate track bar bushes etc and will lead to death wobbles.

when you put the two side by side you will see. They are much more rugged, and with greasable joints, they will flex much better as well. Upgrading front LCAs does help with the flightiness you feel as a result of the lift, but its not a cure-all. it also helps to adjust your castor/pinion angles. You can search for the proper adjustments on this forum or google...there are usually standard lengths to adjust the arms to prior to install but depending on the LCAs you purchased, they may come with those measurements...or there is always tech support!
