My free year runs out this month. Whats the lowest I can get them to go. Just wanted to hear from you guys on the best deal you were able to get from them. They want 14.95 a month. I was thinking more like 6 bucks a month. I can live without it so if they don't give a really good deal I'm walking.

Mine runs out next week or so....
I think the lowest I've seen is $6 a month.
I'll probably pass. I stream Pandora half the time anyway. Plus, there are a ton of songs on my hard drive. (RBZ FTW!)

My free year is still active and I hardly ever listen to it, when I do there's only 3 or 4 channels I enjoy. I just hate DJ's talking, seems like they talk as long as a commercial would take to run, and I can't see paying for radio. Of course I live near a big city where there are tons of free stations.

That said, I have 2569 mp3's on the hard drive with over 5GB space still available. I put the selector on random and have never ending commercial/talk free music.

I should try that, I'm paying $38.00/Month for 3 radios (2 are premium packages so they're a bit more). But I do use it a lot and hardly ever listen to regular radio anymore.

To your point my wife is been paying about $25 every six months.

Recently I acquired Sirius with my Jeep and after listening to Pandora for the past couple years was no longer impressed with their programming. I am hoping that once I fill my favorites list that it will be much or enjoyable. Right now I don't feel it's worth it, but we will see.

I get 25 six months every time but make sure you keep an eye on how much time you have left as they will auto charge you full price after 6 months if you don't call them. I just call and say I want to pay 25 for six and no hassle they accept it.

mine ran out last month on my 2013jku and I received a letter in the mail and a shortly after a call. I ignored both the letter and the phone call and a few days later they called and offered me 1 year subscription for $72.00 if I paid with a credit card.

No matter what deal you get, pay the extra $2 for paper billing. Don't give them a credit card or it will auto renew at the then current (max) rate, and you'll have little recourse to negotiate. If you have them send you the invoice, then pay by check, you can negotiate your next deal at renewal and have a little leverage.

I just renewed my wife's for $108 for the year.

It's not really a big deal I forgot and my wife's expired a couple of months ago and it renewed at something like 90 for 6 months. I called and said it was way to much and they asked if 25 was ok and I said yes. They then refunded the difference.

When it expires, do nothing. They will either call you or send a letter with a "great deal". If you still do nothing, they will contact you with an even better deal. But you'll probably have to be without Sirius for a month or two. If you do re-subscribe and use a credit card, then they will automatically renew and bill your card at the then "normal" rate (high cost) and not even notify you.
I have Sirius in my car, and truck, and have a portable satellite radio in the fairing pocket of my motorcycle. Since I'm not riding the bike (out of season), I cancelled that radio. They have since sent me a letter offering me $13.95 for 6 months. Now that's a bargain, but I'm not accepting, since the motorcycle won't be ridden till next May.

As a many year SiriusXM subscriber, (many vehicles also )I'd like to add that giving Sirius XM your charge card number and telling them it is aok to bill you, etc. is a major mistake. Rather then giving them your charge card number tell them to "invoice you". Depending on what state you live in, there may be a $2-3.00 invoicing fee. Say if you live in NY, they cannot charge such a fee....depends on what state you live in. Anyway, regardless do not give Sirius XM your charge card number! Unless, unless you want them to be able to nail you with say future high renewal fees without your ok. Once they invoice that day or there after, you you can go to the Sirius XM website Welcome to the world of satellite radio - SiriusXM Radio and pay there by doing a one time only charge card payment telling them not to keep the charge card on record.

Note: The SiriusXM rep may push for you to charge to charge card but just say no way that you want to be invoiced and they will do so.

I'm also about to end my $25 for six months deal. I'm going to wait to ask for the same deal again until after the holidays...

Last year sirius/xm did a Nov through Dec "free holiday period" to try to get new subscribers. I assume they'll do it again this year. Two free months!

I get these offers all the time, but I haven't subscribed to XM since they implemented the mandatory $2 a month "royalty fee" they tack on as a way to generate extra revenue. They don't tell you about it in the mailings and emails. After the fees and taxes the $5 a month subscription becomes over $8 a month and they won't tell you that voluntarily - you have to ask. I hate that kind of advertising.
