Well they both have advantages and disadvantages. The M8000 is priced right and is light weight. With the synthetic rope it only weighs 55 lbs, and it is physically small enough to be mounted just about anywhere. I've owned at least 4 of them, and have never had a problem from them. I even used one on my last 4-door JK, which was a big heavy Jeep, running 37" tires. - pictured. I did not like having the solenoid mounted on the bumper though, because the plastic fades badly.
On my current 4-door JK I plan on using a Zeon 10s because the solenoid is integrated in the winch. And on this JK there is absolutely no place left under the hood to mount the solenoid. The Zeon 10 has all the new features, and with synthetic rope it is still relatively light weight (75 lbs).
