I got this idea from another thread and thought I'd show a pic....

I installed my Mag light just like that too. Makes it real easy to use.

That looks great. Is it rechargeable? If so where are you getting the power supply from?

This is great. Needs to be added to those "cheap mod" threads. I don't even own a mag light but may get one just so I can do this.

I like that. I was considering a smaller rechargeable LED unit like our police cars all have mounted in them. But I always liked the D cell for that added...leverage.

It's just clips that hold the 3 D-cell battery mag light in place

Brilliant, nice idea. I used to just lay mine on the floor right there and it stayed fairly well but after a cold night the aluminum body would be dripping wet in the morning from condensation. I figured it would ruin it eventually so I took it out. Might do that anyway so I could just throw it in there when I need it.

Are those DIY clips? I want to do something like that but the JK doesn't have a flat tailgate, it has a hump at the handle end.

The wifey brought up a good point, I really like the op's idea but am worried about some schmuck thinking that I'm running a charity and helping themselves to my mag light. I would be so mad!

Isn't it hidden under the edge of the seat, as long as the doors are on?

I like the EK Motorsports Velcro strap, that makes it look cleaner. My wife and I both love to drive with no doors or top and don't want the Mag Light stolen, too damn expensive, but want it easily accessible. Could it be installed under the seat so it is hidden but still accessible??

I love where you mounted it! Do the mounts come with screws? If not what do you recommend, and also how did you drill into the roll bar? Thanks for your help!

There is another thread on here recently that shows some other options for mounting. The Mag Light clips do come with screw, but you will need to drill pilot holes whever you plan on mounting them and get self tapping screws as well.
