Making the jeep leap tomorrow

Hello All,
I am making the leap to a new jeep tomrrow. I want to make sure that my math is correct and get some advice from all you expericened folks. I found a model I like (JKU Sport) at MSRP 35,785 (Canadian). Currently they are offering a 2,000 discount, and I have a trade in (doing some research looks like it retails for about 5500 avg) so I am hoping for 2000 (asking for 3500). and based on the info in this thread I see that there is about a 3400 mark up over invoice. The dealer has initally stated that they will sell at invoice.
So is 7400 off of list too aggressive? Would a dealer make this deal? Are these expatations realistic?

Thoughts? Any other advice would be appriciated.

Maybe you will get more leverage on floor stock (if any available to your taste) but on a custom order me is thinking the room for negation will be small and the best is to hope on a fair price for your trader.

I highly recommend checking Metro Dodge/Jeep on Richmond Rd. for pricing. Sales/Service has been great so far for me!

Ask for Peter (Sales Manager). They will be honest and fair on the pricing.

Tell him Cam sent ya.

I am in Alberta and I just bought a Sport (2-door) for $3085 below MSRP. This was slightly below invoice IIRC, I'm at work and don't have the numbers in front of me.

$7400 off MSRP would be $3000 below invoice (if your $3400 MU is correct). No way you'd get that.

ETA: Sorry I didn't notice you were including a trade in that. You might be close then.

WHEN I ordered my 2012 jeep my offer was for invoice and no dealer fees which run $500 to $700. the dealer got the 3% hold back. i was happy and they were happy. that is called win/win, they also sent me coupons for 4 free
oil changes. i am sure i could have got a few $$ lower but i was in and out
of the jeep dealer in under 1 hours which is ''PRICELESS''.
