I know I've seen the number (or a number at least) on what the max height you can lift the 2012 without modding the exhaust or driveshafts but I can't seem to find it now. Can someone refresh my brain? I've been thinking about the 2.5" teraflex or AEV kits if it matters.
the exhaust spacers take about 30 mins, 15 mins with 2 people. .the video says use an air hammer on the notch for the y pipe to slide.. .. i litterally just took a flat head screw driver and rubber mallet, and hit it 2 good times and it came free.
Thanks guys. That sounds good. I didn't realize they made spacers that you could install yourself (I'm not a welder and don't have access to one). I had read in the AEV 2.5" lift thread for instance that there was potentially a requirement to have an exhaust shop weld in a small "U" shape (later mentioned as not needed apparently by AEV) to clear the driveshaft.
there are some post floating around with some videos on the spacers.. but u could easily you tube teraflex spacers.. show net you a 5" flex, for the ds.. so u should be good to go with any lift from then on as long as u accommodate for new drive shafts that sort of thing if ur planning on going over 2.5"
Nice, I'm sure I might eventually go higher, but knowing already that it requires things like the driveshafts, new control arms, etc., it's definitely down the road. Good to know the spacers will work for a larger lift though
Jeep is selling a 3" kit for the 2012. I don't believe it includes any exhaust mods, and it does not come with or require a new front driveshaft. It does have fox shocks with piggyback resevoirs. I believe someone else reported it is made for jeep (MOPAR) by terraflex.
