Max rim width

Can I run a 9 inch rim with my stock Rubi tires? They are 255s, so 10 inches wide. The rim I want only come 17x9 or bigger and I want 17s for when I'm ready for 35s or 37s.

Yes you can run with the stock rubi tires on 17x9 wheels. I'm doing that now. Check out my thread about my new wheels and you can see what they look like.

Awesome! Thanks m0wens. I thought it would either look funny or cause issues since I think I saw somewhere that the 255 is for wheels 6.5-8.5 wide. Not only does it not look funny but your rims are sweet. I may need to revisit which 17x9s I want.

No worries RoobyRoo. The 17x9 size will give you more options especially when going to a bigger tire. Once I use up the tread on my Rubi tires, I will most likely go to a 305/65/17 AT. The rims I'm running with are the XD Cranks.

Did you have any luck selling your stock Rubi rims?

Haven't sold yet. I have them on Graig's list. Hoping to get them sold soon.
