I have a 2010 JKUR and have no lift right now. I was thinking about ordering a leveling kit soon which is 2" in front and 1" in rear. My plan was after that to go to 34" tires.
I have a friend who wants to trade her jeep for a Tahoe to get a 3rd row seat. She has almost new 35" tires. If I get her tires from her before she trades it in will they fit with only that leveling kit or do I need to go higher? I do wheel and don't want rubbing.
Depends on how you use it and what wheels you have. If it doesn't see any off road use, you could squeeE 35s with a leveling kit. If you see any trails, you would want to trim your flares of get flat flares
I do wheel and take advantage of the sway bar disconnect. The wheels are the stock 18" Sahara wheels and 35" tires.
I plan on eventually getting flat flares...
I was going to get a leveling kit with springs, not spacers.
Just trying to see if I can jump on this opportunity, or if it requires more upgrades than I can afford at the moment and I have to stick to the original plan.
If you're wondering if you can afford to do it properly, I would go with your origibal plan. I Ordered the rancho 2 inch sport lift and I'm gonna run 285s or 33s. Then I can maintain descent gear ratio and still be able to disconnect off-road and not worry about ripping a fender off. The extra wear and tear, need to re gear, bigger lift or flat flares, etc wasn't worth it to me. Plus If I were to run 35s, I would personally want to beef up the front dana30. Again, more reasons why I am going 33s and small lift
rubicon comes with a dana 44 front. No you can not run 35's with no lift without tearing the fender flares off. you won't be able to turn without hitting front bumper most likely either and will be about rubbing on driver side control arm if you are on stock rims with no wheel spacers.
this is a 34" that is pretty narrow so use it for comparo. Has about a 2" lift but some say more.
