I was told on my '16 JKRHR that the only thing that the max tow package offered was the hitch and the wiring harness, both of which can be had at Q-tech for less than $100.
Considering that Jeep wanted to charge almost $500 for the same thing I chose to order without and purchase from Q-tech later when I found a need for a hitch.
I'm sure that someone else will chime in if my info is wrong, but it's worked for me for the past several months.... the only thing that I tow is a 5X10 utility trailer
Max tow gives you 3.73 diff gearing, hitch and harness. Be careful here... Your individual build may already include 3.73 ( or 4.1), so in effect you would be paying twice for the 3.73s.
Got it, so if I go for the Willys that has the 3.73 already I'll go with the after market hitch and install myself. Thx.
