Can anyone recommend a full width bumper that will give me more protection against deer/other motorists but not cause too much sagging? I'm 100% stock and like how it sits (not interested in a lift now) but definitely don't want the front end to drop from a super heavy bumper. I'd prefer something with a bull bar, or to which a bar could be added, if possible.

Rampage Recovery bumper would work well for that.

Love that one, but I wish they had something for the stock fog lights.

Argh. I'm having such a hard time deciding. For months I have wanted the Smittybilt XRC, mainly for the pure reason of choice. I love how it's modular, and can order different setups, changing out my appearance any time I want to. On the other hand, it's Smittybilt, and I know they have fitment issues. (I have their side-rails, and had to dremel the hell out of them just to fit). But man, the choice to be able to have a stubby one weekend, mid width another weekend, and full width another weekend is just awesome to me.

The other one I am really interested in, is the Rampage. I haven't heard anything regarding fitment issues, and know it's a beast of a bumper. Not to mention, Quadratec has $100 off the front/rear combo which I am deciding on.

Now I won't be doing any serious off-roading, so mall crawling a majority of the time.

Very hard decision!

Interesting! Looks almost identical to the Rampage...

Funny, in this listing they call it

Wonder if the "KO" in the name means "Knock Off"....

I don't think it stands for "Knock Off" , but it is hard to find any info on "KO offroad bumper". This did turn up in a google search:

http://www.wranglerforum.com/f33/ko-...er-272185.html

I'm guessing it's manufactured somewhere in China and rebranded. I may contact the seller to find out more. The same seller has other bumpers, all priced on the cheap. I was set on a Rampage, but may reconsider...

Interesting. Heck, if the quality is there, why not? I love my Rampage and if you can get the same for less...I say go for it!

I contacted the seller-he said it weighs in at 90 lbs. the rampage is 125 lbs. I like that it is lighter. Im still trying to decide what i want, but will purchase this if i go with a full width. Also my buddy purchased and installed this exact bumper and loves it.

Any mention of manufacturer or country of origin? Your friend should post a review here .

I was thinking of Ace sliders from Santa, but a price like that on a full width winch bumper has me thinking....

ETA: the seller has 949 transactions with 0 negative feedback, and only 3 neutral feedback. I wonder if anyone has done a long-term review?

I was looking at those as well, but decided to go with the real Rampage. Two reasons....In the pics posted, it looks as if the right hand side (under the fender flare), it looks as if it angles down and is not straight like it should be. The left hand side looks straight. So are these Rampage defects?

Another reason, is the fact that it clearly states that you will need to relocate the vacuum pump. That's something I just don't feel comfortable with.

Did they have to relocate the vacuum pump? How even does the bumper look?

Is it really 90lbs? if your friend still has the shipping box, it might have the shipping weight on the label. I will seriously consider it if it's 90.

I'll let you know when mine arrives in the next few days.

Regarding my previous inquiry, I called them, and they said that it does not require vacuum pump relocation, so I said screw it and ordered one. Within an hour I had already received shipping notification.

That's odd, the ebay listing states:

***2011-2013 Jeeps require Vacuum pump relocation bracket that is included with the bumper. Please specify if this part is need when purchasing.***

I sent a message on ebay a couple of days ago, with no response. I may try calling. Looking forward to your review!

Along the lines of that bumper, I saw this one in a SEMA thread, and it looks a little similar:

Anyone have any ideas what bumper that is? Rugged Ridge or Smitty modular? Looks like the prerunner is bolted and not welded.

For the record, I did NOT have to relocate my pump when I installed my Rampage.

From what I have seen, the relocation is pretty painless and I believe it gets relocated under the hood.

Bumper weight a big deal?

So,

I am really close to deciding on an new front bumper upgrade. It's down to either the LOD midwidth or the Rampage Recovery Full. Both accept the stock fog lights, have winch capability and bull bars.

I lean towards the RR, but have concerns about the weight. I saw a few people mention 125 lbs for this, which is getting up there compared to the 70ish of then LOD. In the real world of a daily drive, would the added weight of 55 lbs make any significant difference in anything?

Just curious. They are shaped like bricks anyway, so I'd rather get the full, unless if I later add the winch and other things I'd regret having added another 55 lbs just for looks.

Input??? Anyone go with a heavy beast and then change it back to something lighter?

Yeah, I said the same thing. But people that had purchased it claimed otherwise, so I called them. They stated that it is in fact, not needed.

Will find out within the next few days!
