I could have used this thread about a month ago when I was choosing a bumper. I ended up going with the Rugged Ridge XHD aluminum bumper. I'm really happy with it.

For those with the RR XHD, are endcaps unavailable with the prerunner (fit issue)?

Looking for a mid with a prerunner type (already have Rampage Recovery on the list).

I know a lot here are pro stubby but are there big disadvantages to a full width bumper off-road if you are not rock crawling?

Just got in from finishing up my front bumper install -- I put on a new Fab Fours premium bumper along with an engo winch. Everything is done except a little wire clean up. I also installed a front camera mount along the bottom -- I will get some pics tomorrow, the lighting is too poor right now.

Can my 2013 JKUR springs handle the AEV tubeless bumper without any modifications?

I have a 2013 JK. I added the Rugged Ridge XHD alum bumper plus a Smittybilt X20 10 winch with no noticeable sag to the front. At the time my suspension was stock.

Rock Hard Bumpers

After Purchasing my Rock Hard rear bumper and noting the quanlity of the construction I wished I had purchased the front bumper from Rockhard. They make pretty good bumpers in my optinion out of 1/4 thick steel and what I thought was totally awesome was using tapered roller bearings for the spare tire swing away. I am happy with my Rampage front bumper though.

Just make sure your wheels are going to clear it at full flex. The main reason I need a stubby is because with 2.5" of lift and 35's, I had to chop the ends off of the stock bumper because it was rubbing.

There are full width bumpers that taper up to allow wheel clearance. Just seems that a full width will be more likely to get in the way when wheeling.

Thanks I had not thought about that hmm I really like the JCR full width for all the deer protection here in WV ( not to mention they have started releasing elk)

Seems like it might stay out of the way

I got a small question. If in the future I plan to replace the stock bumper. But should just install the 2.5 lift first? I worry that with new bumper, the jeep will slant forward with stock lift.

It will drop slightly, but I don't think it will make that much of a difference. I'd do whichever one you want first and not let it influence your decision.

I just added about 105 pounds of bumper and winch to my front end and it dropped less than 1/4 inch. I'm still gonna put in a leveling kit though just cuz I never liked the rake of the Jeep stock.

That is pretty cool. You skills aren't debatable! I'm not a fabrication type person. I just ordered an Or-Fab full width front bumper from 4wheelparts...dirt cheap!

anybody running both rampage bumpers or either one? Can the rear bumper carry a 35" tire? I plan to work my way up to 35"s and don't want to have to purchase a new bumper/tire carrier when i can just buy the right bumper/carrier the first time.

Ace pro series with no light cut out and a bull bar.

[IMG][/IMG]

Had it installed this morning with a matching rear and tire carrier.

Their fenders will be put on within the next few weeks.

I think I found my next favorite bumper. How much if you don't mind me asking?

I think I paid roughly what shows up on their site, even though I bought from a different vendor

guys,
not sure if anyone else has noticed. But the 10th anniversary 2013 Rubicon front bumper is VERY NICE.
Tried calling a few dealerships here in ontario and no one has this vehicle as of now therefore no VIN is available and they cannot give me price and or if these will be available.. does anyone know if the bumper will be available by mopar to buy?

It's nice, but you'd probably end up paying twice as much (or more) than a better made aftermarket bumper.

If you really like it, wait a few months for people to buy the 10th anniversary rubi's. There will be a flood of them hitting the classifieds. Stock bumpers are usually the first things to get replaced.

AEV makes it, according to the dealer I spoke with last Saturday.
