So RK is testing 1.5" lift coils? Am I reading that right? Is it 1.5" for 4 doors and 2.5" for 2 doors? Triple rate too? Sounds complicated for coils. Their regular coils are quite nice but the rear is just too short. They made my Jeep look slightly nose-up. I prefer a slight forward rake over that.
Haha our secret

Did you ever try the OME's ?

Yes, I did with the Synergy coils. I was told that they worked best with non-progressive coils. Still, I tried them for two weeks. They were very slightly softer in compression that the 5100s. However, not by much and they felt a bit different- like the damping resulted in more minor movement of the Jeep. I decided I actually preferred the 5100s by a slight margin so swapped back. This was only on pavement. The OMEs did not even see dirt. Unfortunately, I did not try them with the EVO coils which are all linear. Yeah, I think I have a sickness. After the Elka experiment, I need to stop myself. I just have not figured out how, and my girlfriend is too used to me to try to stop me.

Oooooooohhhh maybe i will offer my ride for "testing purposes" lol they are like an hour away from me lol and i agree that MC should produce a 2.5" for the 2 doors. Couldn't believe they catered to the 4 doors before the 2.

Edit: HK put some serious thought to the rancho 7000mts

BTW, Had to vote for bacon.
So....what up Metalcloak? What is the status of the 2.5" springs for 2 doors? I hear RK is about to release their 1.5" for 4-door which I guess is the same thing as 2.5" for 2 door. Sure would like a couple more choices in these size springs.

Just checking to see if there was any update on a 2.5 JK option.

Would like to be able to put this on my short list when I get around to lifting.

Indeed.

Been ~5 months since MetalCloak gave any updates ... in this thread, at least.

Not very specific, but sounds promising. I inquired by email last week.

It will be released as soon as we get the springs. We approved the springs and are having a batch made. We are hoping that it will be soon.

This is MC we are taking about. If they are close to release, I'm willing to bet there is already a few jeeps with them on already.

Sorry about not keeping this thread up to date with our progress. We have been running prototype springs in a couple of 2 door Jk's so that we can nake sure they are correct before we take you hard earned money. We signed off on the coils and are waiting for the first production batch. Once they get in we will double check that they are to spec before we add them to the site. We are happy that you will now have an option for a 2 door specific 2.5" coil.

Is the 2.5" height depended on a fully outfitted jeep?

Yes. The 2.5" does factor for the added weight. It will sit about 3.5" on a stock Jeep.
