Did you set the length of the arms yourself? or did you use the recommended specs by them for the 3.5 lift?

If not too much, can you measure the length between the center of the two bolts of the rear trackbar bracket? (bolt attaching the trackbar and the bolt attaching the bracket to the axle)
I want to know by how much it is raised from the stock mount, as I can't find the number on their website.

Did you use the preset length of the rear trackbar that I believe is the length for their 3.5 lift or did you set the length yourself?

Just looking to get some info on end results of all their parts as I'm interested in swapping everything to metalcloak.

I talked to Will at Metalcloak and he told me the control arm lengths were the same for the 2.5" and 3.5" kits. So I followed their directions. I have no issues.

The kit I purchased did not inlcuded a rear adjustable track bar. I reused stock one.

I will measue the track bar bolt when I get home later today.

Awesome ride, I did the same, Metalcloak Duroflex 2.5, I went with the BDS tuned Fox shocks. I love it. And I say there is a very noticeable improvement on the highway and an amazing improvement on the trail!!!

It's either this or the 2.5 rock krawler. Hmmm...choices. Maybe Ill give them a call. It's good to hear from someone that DD's their jeep. I also DD mine and need something enjoyable to drive still.

My DuroFlex 3.5 is scheduled to arrive any day now. I can't wait to get it installed. MC is great to work with. No complaints thus far, we will see how the install goes.

Here is my experience with my MC Duroflex lift with Fox BDS shocks. First off I absolutely love it, secondly I truly like that they have done some outside the box thinking with their joints. Now to the review. On road manners is definitely improved. Rig stays relatively flat around corners and doesn't nose dive on hard braking. The bumps are dampened very well and the ride is not choppy even in a 2 door. Now offroad this thing really shines. If you end up going with Fox shocks make sure to look at overall length of the OMEshocks that MC uses so you can make sure you don't sacrifice down travel. I ended up going with a shock for a 5-6" lift from BDS to match the length of the OME. This ensured I wouldn't sacrifice flex. I love rock crawling with our rig and the off camber stuff while puckering the rig still feels solid. Hope this was helpful.

BB I couldn't have said it better. Metalcloak makes a great lift. Since I started the tread here's an updated photo. I have added poison spyder rocker knockers, body armor, differential covers and front bumper. I still have plenty to do.

As far as details on changes in handling, my stock 12 Rubi unlimited was very darty, especially over frost heaves and similar imperfections at highway speeds, when you would come over them it was as if there was no consistency as to how the suspension would respond. Another place that was harsh was over on overpass, or bridge breaks at speed, just a very harsh hit. Also speed bumps, yes in parking lots and found in some neigborhoods felt like i had a set of one ton leafs under me. Add 33/12.5/ baha claws, believe it or not smoothed the overall ride out from the stock MT's, but added the issue of being very rut sticky on the highway, which simply multiplied that darty feeling. so i added my MC lift, 2.5" duroflex, i also added rear brake lines for future of possibly going full game changer. but let me tell you my wife wouldnt drive it if she needed to go anywhere more than just town, now she wont stop driving it. very predictable in response to all road conditions, overpass break are a non issue, and speed bumps make me want to accelerate in to them. im not exagerating, the MC gear completely transformed the jeep into a very drivable, comfortable, and very compliant vehicle. Now i have to figure out a way to make it wiggle some so that my old lady will leave it alone.LOL

Have any of you guys done a lot of offroading with the MC arms? How long for? I saw a threat on JK-Forum where a guy had torn the inner material and the joints were needing to be replaced. There does not seem to be much material in the center of the joint. I have no doubt they feel great on the road but I am curious about durability (12-18 months) for those who truly offroad on rocky trails.

Mine has been on for about 8 months now and has been wheeled pretty hard in the rocks. No signs of joints needing to be replaced.

My front control arms have been on for about a year without issues. That said, im not in the rocks like you guys out west, but plenty of time in the sand dunes and on the trails.

It has arrived. 5 boxes and 144lbs, if all goes to plan I hope to get my DuroFlex 3.5 installed this weekend..

Nice. I am thinking of selling my eight ROKMEN control arms (had those on my 2-door) and when I lift 3 inches, I'll either get new front lowers- maybe rear uppers too. I'll sell the rear four for sure, since they probably will not fit on the 4-door. The intent is to reuse as many factory arms as possible. I say that now, of course. I keep trying new stuff. The MC arms- do you need a tool to rebuild the joints if they get destroyed?

I had been looking at AEV for the on road ride but saw a YouTube video of a Metalcloak installed JK going through a rocky section with no problems that another JK had to winch several times to get through.

Thanks OP for your on road review. You've made my mind up. One question, any regrets not going 3.5?
