I had MetalCloak 2.5" Game changer lift installed on my 2017 JKUR with the MetalCloak exhaust Spacer kit. However, when the front axle is fully drooped, the front drive shaft is still resting on the exhaust cross-over, and the drive shaft is also touching the "skid" the newer JK. See the picture. Am I missing anything? I thought the exhaust spacer would provide the needed clearance.
If you had a "normal" shock typically used on a 2.5" lift yes. However MC's sixpack shocks and all the other ones they use are very long travel. The ARB edition 2.5" that I have from them the ARB shocks are long travel models that most of the parts sites say is for a 5" lift or something like that. An aftermarket driveshaft will fix the problem. In practice the only time it could be an issue is if you manage to fully droop the driver wheel while wheeling. I'm trying to remember for sure when I had mine on their CTI testing trailer whether the boot actually contacted in that position or not.
Your vehicle looks to be on a lift, so both sides of tbe front axle are at full droop. Under that condition, the driveshaft will rest on both the exhaust and crossmember. Once on the ground, it won't, and under normal flex, it still won't.
