Might as well start with the mods....

My re-order won't even begin production until 9/6 but I guess I might as well begin collecting Mods and stacking them in the garage. I'm getting a 2 dr Rubi in Crush. I know that some side steps/tube steps, etc. will not fit on a Rubi because of the stock rock rails. Can anyone tell me what does fit there. I'm partial to the black tube type steps.

Also looking for a tube front bumper with loop. I really need one with a hitch receiver but that can be welded on afterwards. I have a Warn winch that hooks into a receiver hitch and want to be able to use it on my Dually as well as my jeep. I have the Q/track catalog and much of their stuff is for earlier rigs. Even with bumpers made for 2011 JK's I think there is an issue underneath ? I guess I'll buy new wheels when I wear out the stock tires.

Ace Rock Rails:

ACE JK Rock Sliders (2 Door)

I have these on order for my 4 door, but I've read only good things about them, and they look sharp with the rubi rails from the pics I've seen.

Thanks LG. Looks like they will double nicely as steps as well, as long as one is careful about placing your foot so it does not slip thru. They do look great.

I got front and rear Smittybilt tube bumpers and steps online for about $500 shipped for all of it. The SB front bumper doesn't have a hitch receiver built in, but to be honest I would not attach one to a tube bumper anyway. They are not built to take any real load and are mainly just for looks and to push small branches out of the way. It wouldn't surprise me to see one fold up like an origami dinosaur if you put enough load to unstuck a Jeep on it.

Thanks for that heads up. Someone sent me a link to a front bumper...not tube type...that had a receiver built on. Can't find it now, but I have a friend or two that can weld some good stuff and put one on.

There are several out there like that. I actually saw one I really liked, but since we are going for the prerunner look the tubes were better suited to our needs.
