Post Mirror Relocation wiring question

No matter how many thread's I read, nobody seems to address the problem of electrical wiring in the OEM mirror.

And No I am not just generally having a problem after removing the bolt undernearth the mirror. The mirror seems to easily "detach" from the bracket, but seems to still be attached by the wiring of the mirror . If there is a detach location that I am missing or do I just need to buy new mirrors for my bracket?

Again, I appologize if anyone has answered this question, I promise I looked all over this forum and google, but nothing.

FYI, 2011 JK 4dr (not that that matters)

It most likely hasnt been done to many 11s, I don't think any pre 2011 jeeps came with wired mirrors.

I don't think the heated mirrors can be relocated, at least not while maintaining the heating function.

I dont have heated mirrors, just power (not as-if that will change much as its still wires entering into the mirror.

Guess it looks like im heading over to advance to see if they have mirrors for the brackets. Probably 'easier' in the end anyways.

I may be wrong, but I think if you get the power option on a 11 wrangler it only comes with power and heated mirrors. I know mine did. Just leave your mirrors on the doors, and put some mirrors on a windshield mount or in the door hinges.

Yeah, what he said ^. Seams it would be a lot easier to just have a second set, assuming you are doing it so you can take the doors off. There's tons of threads (as you probably saw) about aftermarket and DIY side mirrors.

You will have to remove the door panel to disconnect the power mirrors and remove completely. This seems excessive but is reality.

I appreciate the responses guys. Yes I am taking off the doors and I probably do have heated mirrors!?!?

What is the best OEM replacement mirror site (already bought relocation brackets from RR)

Might not be able to doorless-it by this weekend like I had hoped

Check ebay, CL, the dealer, Qtec, etc for mirrors.
