Mods

Ok I have a few questions for all of you running the 2-1/2" coil and shocks lift from Teraflex.
My '11 2dr Sahara is going in the shop Monday to get the lift kit, wheels, tires(315/12.5/17) and gears(5.13's) done.
Is there anything else I should or need to have done to the suspension while the jeep is in the shop?
Reason why I'm asking is that I would like to cover most of the basics to prevent problems down the line with this set up.
Thanks.

Sounds like you have it covered. What back spacing are the wheels?

check this out:

you may want to look at front/rear track bar to recenter the axel, and possibly front lower control arms, but those are not esentials, just nice to haves if its your DD.

This is my DD and I did ask the shop who's doing the work about track bars and they didn't think i needed them

The wheels are the XD Addicts with 4-1/2" back spacing

You don't "need" them, and may be better off seeing how you like the lift first. Track bars will help recenter you axels if they shift from the lift (only a hair with the 2.5). They all say (shops & manufacturers) it's fine without them, but if you are a perfectionist, it's a nice added touch. The lower control arms will help correct caster&pinion angel for a true "perfect" alignment and maybe less sway driving on the road...but again, nice to haves, not need to haves. Enjoy your lift man!

The 5.13/5.38s generate a lotta heat, so follow the process !

I hope to be re-gearing come spring, what is this special process you speak of concerning heat and gears?

Each mfg-Yukon/G2/Superior has a little diff. setup--

---google "Jeep regear breakin procedure"-

My way with my 5.38 YUKON gears, is a little detailed to ask anyone to copy-

Get an infared thermometer though and they're not expensive $30 to $75 bucks--
