You can purchase the Jeep at the end of the contract. It says how much on your contract.

You can also purchase it before the end but you still have to pay all the payments plus a fee and the value of the Jeep. You may be able to roll all that over onto your new finance contract.

But you can do what you want with it now. Then at the end of the contract just buy it And pay what they thought the value of it would be after the term (usually less than what they predict. The buyout).

You can also trade it into another dealership if you want at the end of the contract or before when u get another Jeep or car. Your mods could build value into it. But keep in mind fees still apply if you trade before the contract. (You won't be in a hurry to trade anyway after you mod it lol)

You can also buy it at the end of the contract and sell it for more. (More with mods added). You will most likely have equity in your Jeep especially if put some money down.

You can do whatever as long as you can put it back. Like tires. Bumpers. Different tops. Rock rails/sliders. Fenders. (You have to put everything back IF you are giving the Jeep back to the bank. NOT if you purchase/finance it).

Check out your contract for end of term options to see if purchasing it is something to consider then you can do whatever you want. You only have to put everything back if you want to turn it in back to the bank.

If you are going to turn it back in keep it simple and only do mods that bolt on to existing wholes. There are a huge number of mods that do this and are extremely functional. With lifts I would not go for more than a 2.5" budget boost as they are simple to install and remove. Rims should be stock and tire must be with in two sizes of stock. So if you turned it back in with 33"s it's not going to be problem. Don't go thrashing it and bashing it up. The banks do alow for reasonable wear and tear. Give it a good detailing and buffing, reinstall the stock parts and turn it in and pay any over mileage costs.

If during your lease you fall in love with your Jeep and decide you are going to keep it then do the full up mods.

Both mine are leased and heavily moded and wheeled. I plan to buy them at the end of the lease or trade them in. A lease is NO different than a financed Jeep as one does not own their Jeep until the title is in hand. Until that time the BANK is the owner.

In Montana when you finance a vehicle whether thru a bank, CU or other financial institution you are the owner and you get the title. The lender just holds a lien on it until it is paid. But you get the physical title.

i leased mine about a month ago. i already installed an antenna 13" antenna, more dead pedal, mopar fuel door. next is a teraflex leveling kit and rugged ridge xhd wheels w/ 33" tires. This was my first wrangler and i love it so far. i'll likely buy it at the end of my lease

This thread has been very helpful! I was wondering the same thing. I'm planning on leasing a 2015 JK within the next month or so. Doing some shopping around for deals right now, but I was worried I wouldn't be able to mod mine.

Thanks for the tips guys.

no problem. You can also look at separate leasing companies. You don't have to use Ally or Chrysler Capital. In Austin, Texas, I used Apple Leasing for mine.
