Months If Not Years Of Planning

Yep..we did it.. we finaly ordered Bestop half top system. Now the waiting.. and when we get the parts.. we pray for warmer weather.. Tis hard to get these tops on and off when they are cold and not so plyable.

But here is my question.. We've hard a bestop half top for our 99 and one issue we had we the front windshield channel.. the part that goes from the fabric top into the channel.. What I did then was fold the soft top over and drilled 4 holds (which the plastic strip housed into the channel) then placed pop rivets to hold this area safe and secure.. At that tiem I was thinking of glueing but figured it best to do as I did.

Anyone else have any tips for this area of the windshield/soft top?..

I guess while the weather is cool.. I'll take the top into the basement and weather seal it with a mixture of elmers glue/water.. and run along the inner seams.

As soon as we get the top and I get motovated to get started working on it.. I'll be documanting the whole thing (best I can) I get caught up and forget to take pics..
