Mopar big brake kit help

So I ordered this kit at the dealer P5160051. But they failed to tell me I would need a different master cylinder than what came with the kit since I have a manual transmission. So I was wondering if anyone has done the swap on a manual, and if you found another master cylinder with a slave for the clutch. Or if you just found a kit for a remote reservoir for the clutch. The kit instructions say another part will need to be ordered, but no part number is listed. I called mopar and they recommended contacting jegs for a solution since they don't have one.

Dont get ticked, not many people have that kit yet so very few know the answer.

But... you do now, so what was the solution to the problem? I also have a manual and was looking into the big brake kit.

I thought these kits were on a recall due to a wrong component being included in the original kits?

I assume this means the kits have been reworked and are back in stock.

Can you do something for us? Take pictures of the part numbers on each box that came with the Mopar kit and post them. We need the part numbers for the rotors, calipers, caliper adapters, pads, brake lines and the bolt package.

That would really help the forum members on top of what you're doing to install on a Jeep with a manual transmission.

Sorry, was on vacation. I will open it up and get some pics tomorrow. Also picked up the new 4" mopar lift kit. I haven't opened the crate yet though. I may try to do the install Sunday depending on the weather and if the rotors are the right size.

No worries TJ.. I hope you had fun during your PTO. I'm just looking to connect the Jeep part number dots to existing items. Jeep basically blew me off saying this is proprietary information - but I know better. They also dodged my warranty inquiry using the standard dissertation.

There's only one item I can see in the kit that's unique and that's the caliper adapters. But everything should be available as individual components already in stock - perhaps with exception to the bolt kit. That may not be available as a stand alone item.

Thanks

Guess I'm waiting now too. 12 inch rotors were in my kit also.

They need to be 13"... The part number shown in the BOM is the standard 12" rotor. The thing I did notice as I was looking these up is that some of the revisions have been superseded.

I made a pdf of that list.. I'll post it later. I shows the current revisions.

I think you need to verify that you have the current revised parts.

But you'll still need the correct rotors.

EDIT:

These are the 13" rotors for the Wrangler export model... you could take a chance, order and install these. We think these are the rotors that should come with this Mopar kit. But it's unconfirmed.

STOP reading my MIND...its scary! ;)

Thanks for the info.

Yesterday I check the parts department also and this kit is still showing national back order.
And here's the infamous 6-speed manual WRANGLER EXPORT master cylinder reservoir and cap...

$14.00

CAP. Export. Master Cylinder Reservoir for 2015 JEEP WRANGLER. #04683656AB

$13.00

Again... This is only an assumption this will work on this kit with those who have a 6-speed manual..

;)
